Based on conventional API thickened oil tubes, special thickening products mainly focus on two directions. One direction is to meet the special thread processing needs of customers, such as the integral joint thread type PH6. The second direction is for the repeated use of old tubing bodies where damaged thickened threads must be cut off; however, without the thickened section, the strength of the joint connection cannot be guaranteed. The extended thickened ends can satisfy the need for repeated use of thickened oil tubes, saving costs.

Product Features

Special thickened products comply fully with the production and manufacturing requirements of API 5CT for the tubing body part. Customers can customize the dimensions of the tube ends according to their needs to meet the requirements for special thread types or multiple reprocessing uses. The special thickened ends adopt quality control procedures that are equivalent to or even higher than those of the tubing body, including sampling tests of all properties at the ends, magnetic particle inspection, manual ultrasonic inspection, and numerical control machining of the ends, ensuring that every end meets the customer’s usage requirements.

Application Environment

Special thickened products are applicable under the environmental requirements specified for various steel grades by API. The thickened ends fully meet the same usage conditions as the tubing body.
